Mayor's Command Center
One screen, the whole city: today's meetings, the state of the big projects, what residents are raising, and the watches a river town keeps. Built as a preview for the Mayor's office, modeled on how real city operations centers and mayoral dashboards are organized.

Constituent Issues Sample data
A 311-style queue, grouped the way the Share Your Idea front door would sort it. All counts below are sample data showing the format only.
Concept: submissions from Share Your Idea would land here by category and topic. An AI assistant drafting first responses from verified city content is a Phase 2 idea, not live. A human in the Mayor's office reviews before anything official is sent, and emergencies are never queued as routine: they get "call 911."
Share Your Idea Queue Concept
The front door and this board are two ends of the same system.
Live submissions: none. The Share Your Idea page is a concept demo in this phase: the form shows residents the acknowledgment they would receive, and transmits and stores nothing.
When built (Phase 2): ideas, questions, and concerns arrive here by lane, staff draft replies with AI help from verified hub content, a human approves every outgoing message, and response times become a tile on this board.

Funding categories that map to South St. Paul's capital plan. This is a starter list: verify every deadline and eligibility rule at the source before acting.

Starter list only, deadlines change every cycle. The official portals are the source of truth.
River & Weather Watch Official links
A river town watches the water. Live values live at the official gauges, so this panel links straight to them instead of caching a number that goes stale.
- Mississippi River at St. Paul: stage and flow from the National Weather Service gauge (STPM5), the reference gauge for South St. Paul's levee and Kaposia Landing. Open the gauge →
- Forecast: National Weather Service, Twin Cities office forecast for the metro. Open the forecast →
- Why it is on the board: river level drives levee checks, landing and trail conditions, and spring planning; weather drives snow emergencies and outdoor event calls.
